Made of all natural herbs and salt this delightful loose herb bath mix is helpful to help soothe and heal perineal tissues after the hard work of birth A loved formula by many this bath provides comfort and healing after the work of birth in a natural, healthy way.

Also safe for use with newborns this herb bath can aid in drying up your new baby's cord and provide a natural and soothing environment for mother-baby bonding time after birth.

When you brew your Herbal Afterbirth Bath is brewed and added to bathtub water, it turns the water a dark yellow/brown color and smells amazing! The smell is really lovely. An ingredient list and preparation instructions are on the package.

The herbal bath is therapeutic for mother/baby bonding, aromatherapy, reducing perineal swelling, healing perineal lacerations, and also helping with hemorrhoids.

Ingredients

Comfrey Leaf
Lavender Flowers
Shepherd's Purse
Uva Ursi Leaves
Plantain leaf
Red Raspberry Leaves
Yarrow flowers
Salt

12 ounces by weight.

Suggested directions

Place 1 cup of herbs in 2 qts. of boiling water and remove from heat. Let herbs steep for 15-20 minutes. Strain and add to additional bath water in a tub being careful not to over dilute. Baby & Mom should soak for at least 20 minutes to allow healing to cord and perineum. Makes 3-4 baths.

Safety

Herbal baths are safe for use a few hours after birth through an indefinite period. Circumstances where using the herbal bath would not be safe would be in the case of a large amount of postpartum blood loss, particularly where the mother is still faint and weak; the heat of the warm bath water can cause complications (obviously if this is the situation, the mother's care provider will likely still be present and dictating care). The only other contraindication for use would be if the mother has an allergy to one of the herbs in the bath mix. The most common allergy (though still very rare) that clients have to this bath is lavender.

LOVE!!

I loved having a herbal postpartum bath in these herbs with my fresh new baby. It is very relaxing and the smell is nice.

Love this!

When I deliver at home, I always know I'm in transition/close to delivery when I smell this brewing on the stove. It's such a happy smell because I know the end is near and I'll soon be holding my precious baby. And when the baby's finally born we get to take our first bath together in this. It helps heal momma & baby's umbilical cord. I love this product, 1- because of it's healing properties, and 2- because it recalls to mind happy memories of birth and baths with baby. There's so many other products out there for this, but I will always purchase my Afterbirth Bath from In His Hands.

Used this after my last home birth and will be using it again after this birth! Really helped sooth after birth and helped slow bleeding down. This was the first thing on my birth supply list!

Cannot say enough good about this product.

I buy this product for EVERY new mom that I know. After using it myself after the birth of my daughter I believe no new mom should be without it. I use it as an herbal rinse after using the bathroom. It's no small thing to have a bit of comfort for mama after delivery.

Nice herbal blend for new moms

I provide all of my clients with the Herbal afterbirth Bath tea to use as a peri-wash postpartum (to be applied with a peri-bottle whenever they take a trip to the toilet). I have received lots of positive feedback from numerous clients, expressing how soothing it is to apply this tea onto the vulva after giving birth. The blend brings down swelling, promotes healing and prevents infection.

Best after birth product EVERR!!!!

This after birth herbal bath is a must have!!!! It takes the swelling and tenderness out of the tissue. Not to mention it smells amazing and who doesn't love a hot bath? All around a must have!
