Newborn Dosage

If you're seeking guidance on the oral Vitamin K dosage schedule for newborns, the following regimen is recommended by many midwives. However, please consult your healthcare provider for their recommended schedule and dosage for the oral drops.

Day 1 of Life: 1 drop

Day 7 of Life: 1 drop

Day 21 of Life: 1 drop

Administer the drops by applying them to the parent's finger and swabbing the newborn's inner cheek inside the mouth. For breastfeeding mothers, consuming the remaining Vitamin K drops can boost their own stores after birth.

Note: Oral Vitamin K may be indicated in case of the baby undergoing a surgical procedure, such as circumcision.
